The start/reset button can be located on the saccadic, on the remote control, accomodative rock panel, or using the balance board in the integration mode. The location of the signal light can be pre-set for random,or any pre-designated location 2-0 would be random, and 2-X is for any predetermined location (the X is the number of the light counting clockwise from the top light. To pre-determine the location of the "X" light, start at the top light and count the lights clockwise in a spiral direction. The center light will be #33. Depress the start/reset button, hold button depressed until a signal is heard, release the button and press the illuminated light/button on the saccadic fixator. A light will appear in random positions.

It is not necessary to use to use the start/reset button on the saccadic fixator to control all the above activities. The remote accomodative rock board reset switch can be used. The balance board in integration mode may be used. In addition many special external switches can be plugged directly into the saccadic fixator.
Plug the balance board connector into either the saccadic fixator connector, or the connector on the right-hand side of the control center module (CCM). Set the control center module switch to "BALANCE BOARD" setting. The time is pre-set to 60 seconds but can be re-set to any time frame. Trainee must shift his body balance following the direction of the lights.

Must use a control center module unit (CCM). Set the CCM for "BALANCE BOARD WITH INTEGRATION" The outer 16 lights will rotate clockwise at a speed of 96 lights per minute (1 rev/sec.) Elapsed time is pre-set to 120 seconds. Trainee must attempt to maintain balance. Each time trainee is "off" balance, the lights will stop rotating. To start lights rotating again, press the start/reset button or tilt the balance board back to balance position.

Trainee must respond to the 4 quad lights on the saccadic fixator. These lights will automatically move to random positions, at a pre-set speed. To score a point, trainee must tilt board in the direction of the illuminated lights. If the ccm is used, set the switch to position A. Time has been pre-set at 120 seconds. The speed of the lights has been pre-set at 90 light/minute.

All activities using the Wayne Computerized Saccadic Fixator can be integrated with the balance board through the control center module; ie, traineee must maintain balance while performing any activity, otherwise the activity is terminated, and the final score is presented on the display. By returning to balance twice, the counter display will automatically reset, and will again be ready to start the activity. Set the ccm switch to positions B or D depending upon the activity.
