Infra-Red Sensor Beam

The Infra-Red Sensor Beam acts as a switch that is triggered by the movement of a bat, racket, ball, hand, or other object above it. It projects a 1" diameter invisible beam and signals with an adjustable-duration auditory tone when the object crosses the beam. A contact closure for signalling other devices is also provided. No external reflector is required for detecting objects at distances up to 7 feet; a reflector increases the range to over 20 feet.

The Infra-Red Sensor Beam can be used by itself, with the Wayne Saccadic Fixator and Speed-Trac to test and train anticipation and speed judgment, or with the Fixator alone for special reaction and pro-action measurements.
