The Wayne Spatial Trainer is an instrument for testing and training saccades and hand/eye coordination and evaluating and remediating phorias, tropias, and suppression, all in real time and space at distance with immediate auditory feedback.
The unit is a hand-held projector which emits a small red light beam when its trigger is squeezed. When the beam strikes a reflective surface at a distance of up to 25 feet, the unit produces an immediate auditory signal. Small reflectors can be placed around the room for saccades, and reflective strips can be used for pursuit tracking; patients with excessive eye deviations receive an immediate signal when they are not tracking a red pattern on a reflective background.
The Wayne Spatial Trainer is fun, motivating, and effective. It works like the Talking PenŽ, but in space.
